Naturelle Cures for "Dandruff"

Lately, I've been getting a lot of emails pertaining to dandruff. How to get rid of dandruff. Dandruff: A scaly scurf formed on and shed from the scalp, sometimes caused by seborrhea.

Dandruff is sometimes caused by frequent exposure to extreme heat and cold. As it is normal for skin cells to die and flake off, a small amount of flaking is normal and common. Some people, however, either chronically or as a result of certain triggers, experience an unusually large amount of flaking, which can also be accompanied by redness and irritation.

Here are a few homemade recipes you may want to try.

Try Tea Tree essential oil, which is available at health food stores.
Mix Tea Tree essential oil with your shampoo. Mix 10 drops of Tea Tree oil for every 8 oz. of shampoo.

Use Tea Tree oil to treat dandruff two to three times a week. Even after the dandruff goes away, continue using Tea Tree oil shampoo two to three times a week to prevent it from coming back.

Make sure the amount of Tea Tree oil in your shampoo and conditioner is no less than 5 percent. Less than five percent is ineffective. Test yourself. If you have never used Tea Tree oil in the past, put a tiny drop on an arm or leg to check for an allergic reaction.

OR

Massaging rosemary oil treatment into your scalp can help to prevent flaking and also help to increase circulation in your scalp. To make this treatment just add 3 drops of rosemary oil with a tablespoon of avocado oil.

Start taking Vitamin E oil in supplemental form. This helps balance the oils on the scalp and help to prevent dandruff caused by a dry scalp. Use a eucalyptus treatment if you suffer from itchy, dry scalp and dandruff. To make this treatment pour 1/4 cup of dried eucalyptus into a quart of boiling water and allow it to steep for 30 minutes. Strain the mixture then add 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar. Pour the mixture through the hair then let the hair air dry.

Note: You may want to consider changing your diet. A lot of what we put into our bodies, pours out into our pores. You may want to try a diet full of raw foods may also be helpful in helping dandruff. You may want to avoid citrus fruits, tinned fruits, pickled foods, caffeine, meat and refined products.

Peace ~ Blessings
