We Honor Oprah Winfrey
(born January 29,1954) is an American Television Host, Actress, Producer, and Philanthropist. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Oprah created the Oprah Angel Network Katrina registry which raised more than $11 million for relief efforts. Oprah personally gave $10 million to the cause. Homes were built in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama before the one year anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina.
Lady O has also helped 250 African-American men continue or complete their education at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.
In January 2007 Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls was open in Johannesburg, South Africa. Forbes International has listed Oprah as the world's only Black Billionaire from 2004 to 2006 and as the First Black Woman Billionaire in World History.
Oxygen Network was co-founded by Oprah Winfrey.
In January 1, 2011 Oprah Launched OWN Oprah Winfrey Network.
