Black HerStory Month!


Happy Black HerStory Month
We Honor Sojourner Truth (1797 – 1883) an African-American abolitionist and women's rights activist. Sojourner was born born into slavery in Swartekill, New York, but escaped with her infant daughter to freedom in 1826. Sojourner, became the first black woman to win a court case against a white man. Truth is known for her speech on racial inequalities,
