"Let's talk about Naturelle Curls "

Naturally curly hair is making a big come back. We see more people embracing there Naturelle curls today.

What is your curl type or curl pattern?
Most types of curls arrange from wavy, curly, kinky "curly" hair.

Wavy* hair tends to fall between straight and curly more or less a body wave effect what you might call loose curls.

Curly*hair types can have the S shape pattern or even resemble a Z pattern in some curly hair types.

Kinky curly* hair has a zig zag pattern tightly coiled curls.
There's even a chart that can better explain all types of wavy, curly, kinky hair types.

My hair could fall between the Curly type 3c-4.

Curly type 3c: When I pull a strand of hair, you may notice it has a definite S shape.
It may even resemble a Z shape however, my hair type could be both 3c ~ 4 better know as "Kinky~ Curly" hair due to my tightly curly hair, there is a definitely curl pattern in place.

Thanks to a few companies such as Miss Jessie's, Carol's Daughter, Curls, Deva products are specially formulated for "Naturally Curly" Hair types.

Who knew? By using the wrong type of shampoo, you can strip and damage your hair.
Did you know that certain chemicals found in most shampoo's are harmful for you?
"Chemicals" such as "Sulfates" can cause serious damage.

Most companies are making there own version of a "sulfate free" shampoo or called "No poo" meaning no lather. "Deva Products" are known for removing the "Poo" out of shampoo.
Deva Products are 100% sulfate free hair care system. By removing the harsh, dehydrating detergents that create lather.

Let's talk about Sulfates: Sulfates comprise a family of ingredients that includes the commonly used foaming agents Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). These sudsy “surfactants” can contribute to moisture loss in all hair, and can cause color-treated hair to fade prematurely.

My hair falls under the Curly type 3c.
Curly type 3c: If you pull a strand of a type 3 curl, you will notice it has a definite S shape.
It may even resemble a Z on some occasions...however, there is a definite curl pattern in place.
This hair type is full bodied, climate dependent (humidity = frizz), and damage prone. Lack of proper care renders dull curls. For some reason I would say my hair type would be both 3c ~ 4 better know as "Kinky~ Curly" hair due to my tightly curly hair.
