Remembering Malcolm X

El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz
Malcolm X  (May 19, 1925 - February 21 1965)
Malcolm X was an African-American Muslim minister and a human and civil rights activist. His legacy still lives on through his daughters and through us...
Remembering Malcolm X 50 years ago today Minister Malcolm X was assassinated while giving a speech in Harlem, NY  Audubon Ballroom.
In 1992 Director Spike Lee produced and directed  Malcolm X film.
Based on Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley.
I remember schooling my father and sharing my own personal beliefs on Malcolm X . Since, I was happy to share my news as being cast as an extra.  A family friend worked in the wardrobe department for the film and 40 acres and a mule.
My dad had a views of Malcolm X that was solely based on negative information.
Once my father read my copy of autobiography on Malcolm X he had a better understanding of Malcolm X the man.
He was a person, son, brother, husband and a father.
Who was brutally killed in front of his family.  My dad finally understood the importance of  Malcolm X the man his legacy.
Society had a negative take on the Nation of Islam and Minister Malcolm X partly because no one could understand how this one man full of knowledge and wisdom would not fall for nonsense and commanded respect.
Malcolm X was an African-American Muslim minister and a human and civil rights activist. His legacy still lives on through his daughters and through us...

Federal Judge Rules Law Against Texas Hair Braiders as Unconstitutional

Today's post comes from
Black Enterprise
Had to share this with my fellow Natural hair beauties

A federal judge has ruled it unconstitutional for a set of Texas laws to prevent African hair braiding schools from teaching students how to braid hair.

Isis Brantley, an entrepreneur who runs a hair braiding school in Dallas, sued the state in 2013, citing the laws that pertained to hair braiding schools to be unreasonable. Under Texas laws, hair braiding schools must first be a fully equipped barber college before turning into a facility that teaches students how to braid hair. In the case of Brantley, she had to first convert her small business into a barber school that had at least 10 student chairs that reclined back and a sink behind ever work station before being allowed to teach hair braiding.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks ruled the laws against hair braiders to be “irrational,” citing the fact that braiding salons don’t need sinks to do hair because hair washing is not a part of the braiding process. Judge Sparks also reasoned that the state cannot force entrepreneurs to do meaningless things before starting their own business and challenged the state to find a single hair braiding school that met their requirements.

“I fought for my economic liberty because I believe there is a lot of hope for young people who seek to earn an honest living,” said Brantley in a news release. “This decision means that I will now be able to teach the next generation of African hair braiders at my own school.”

New years eve

My Beloved Mom just finished cutting  her hair in this pic.

It's been awhile since my last post.
Can't believe it's New Year's Eve today.
I'm so looking forward to the New Year 2015 couldn't come at a better time.
Especially with all the tragic stuff occurring in the news.
I'm grateful for the many lessons 2014 has shown me this past year. The year was about growth, and personal loss.
With the loss came strength, stepping up and becoming a better person.
Life is too short! I've learn to forgive and move on. The best thing a person can do is forgive and move on. Forgiveness is great for the soul to start the healing process.
Let's not forget what's happening around the world planes missing, senseless killings, tragic losses due to mental illness and depression.  Before we hit that restart button to ring in the new year.
I would like to say a special prayer for all of our love ones who passed on this year.
Sending you all Love and Healing Light.
My Deepest condolences to Miko Branch and the entire Miss Jessie's family and friends.  Had the pleasure meeting both Titi and Miko Branch in Atlanta a few years ago. Two beautiful amazing sisters at the fore front of the Curly hair movement. The Branch sisters were so delightful  without hesitation they both posed for pictures. "I just knew; I was the third sister" OK! sister in my head. I remember when I first post this picture someone thought we were in fact related.  Guess we're all  connected to one another spiritually.
Titi Branch passed away earlier this month. A private memorial service was held.
You will be missed not forgotten...

In Loving memory of all who passed on this year
Thank you Mommy and Nana for your unconditional Love and support

Law Of Attraction

                                                                  Law Of Attraction

We attract into our life whatever we think about.
"Likes attract likes" Thoughts are things. If you are a happy upbeat person, expect to attract pleasant experiences.
If you have a negative attitude and complain about everything, then this is the experience you will attract.
Replace negative thoughts, replace with positive thoughts.  We have the ability to change any situation.
Manifestation
Universal Laws that Affect Manifestation
The Law of Intention
Intention is the starting point of every dream. It is the creative power that fulfills all of our needs, whether for money, relationships, spiritual awakening, or love.
The Law of Karma
"As you sow, so shall you reap".
This is also known as the "Law of Cause and Effect".
Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us.
If what we want is Happiness, Peace, Love, Friendship... Then we should BE Happy, Peaceful, Loving and a True Friend.
The Law of Continuity
Energy and matter do not die but can be
transformed.
The Law of Synchronicity
The principle by which we know the phenomenon of time. If different actions align within one frame of reference, they are said to synchronize.
Now that we're aware of The Universal Law  we can shift our energy.
Before we begin to manifest it's important to have gratitude.
Be grateful for what you already have,  be grateful for what is on it's way to you, and be grateful as you start to see what the  Universe has lining things up for you.
Surround yourself with positive people, positive people create positive energy, which creates positive experiences.
Let go of all things negative, detach yourself from what's holding you to move in a positive light, Let it go!

Let's begin to practice and receive positive energy by incorporating positive daily practice.

Practice Daily Meditation
Practice Yoga Daily
Exercise Daily
Read Daily Affirmations
Practice Kindness

Sometimes it takes a message from an Angel to speak directly at you or through you.
If this message resonates with you then my intention to connect and inspire you are beginning to manifest.

Sending Love and Healing Light your way
~Namaste~
